Can you install both 32 bit and 64 bit with one product key on Windows 7?

If you try to install windows 7 64 bit version and run into problems with an older computer (lack of 64 bit drivers), can you then try to install the 32 bit version using the same product key? the windows 7 professional box says it contains both 32 and 64 bit versions. I am afraid to try to install the 64 bit version and then not be able to install the 32 bit version if the 64 bit version does not work out. also, my computer is the acer t-180 and on acer's driver website they only list 32 bit drivers for vista. there are no 64 bit drivers even though the processor is 64 bit. it came with vista 32 bit a few years ago. acer told me i could use vista's drivers for windows 7. would windows 7 have the 64 bit drivers in it for this computer or would i have to try to find them separately (if that's even possible). thanks in advance.
