Cannot import a video clip

    Hey everyone.
    Recently, i've capture a video clip with the full version of hypercam 2.14.02.
    However, Windows Movie Maker could not import this .avi file that was saved.
    So i converted the .avi into a .wmv and still didn't work.
    When i looked it up on google, some people were talking about 'codec' and i'm quite confused about it.
    All help are appreicated:D
    EDIT: i think it says something about that the .wmv is not indexed
    It doesn't have to do with codec but it might
