Can't connect to WiFi after formatting

Same problem with my lenovo z460, I recently reformat my pc and I cannot connect to wifi after then.
Iv tried ur suggestion, looking at problem devices, no device is listed

Hi virna, I would say to try the 'Free' version of this program;
https://www.drivereasy.com/
You can scan your Lenovo and it will tell you what is missing, then you can choose to download those drivers....BUT...
the Free DriverEasy is VERY SLOW to download your drivers, but of course you can go to Lenovo's site when you know what you are looking for.

Hi everyone,. I have the same problem after my laptop was reformatted, here is what I have under Problem Device:
Thanks in advance.,
Network Controller PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_7179144F&REV_01\4&2B20CBC2&0&00E0 The drivers for this device are not installed.

and the dxdiag file

Hi Gaverille, If your PC is reasonably modern, say 5 years or less, then your best chance of finding the correct software is to use the original maker's website, and go to their support/software drivers section, and find your exact pc model.
Your PC appears to be an HP Probook 4520, so I would think you would not have any trouble downloading the driver from HP.
If you are to sure which driver(s) are missing, check in your 'Device manager' for yellow warnings.
If you want more info about which drivers are missing, then go up the page on this thread and see my previous posts about using the program 'Drivereasy', it's free and it will give you the info you need to know.
I would suggest to note down which drivers are missing, then go back to the HP site and download them from there.
I say that because if you use the download feature in 'Drivereasy' it will be slow, but will work, obviously the 'paid for' version would be faster, you can understand the reasons why. I've used 'DriverEasy' (Free) for many years and it has proven to be accurate.

Hey, I know it is a very old topic, but its the same issue so I'm gonna try and just post it here too.
I switched the network adapter and upgraded to a different (from XP to 8.1) windows, wifi was still working, but then I made a clean format to w7 and now it isnt working anymore, tried a lot of drivers (including the ones from acers website for my netbook and the one supposed to be for the new chip) but nothing seems to work. It's an Acer Aspire One D250.

old chip was Atheros AR5BHB63 and the new one is Broadcom BCM94313HMG2L.

dxdiag, device manager and Components with problems from msinfo32 files attached.

Thanks in advance

Thanks mike. So, all the downloads in that page gives me the same file which corresponds to the first one on the list (although the number on the rar is different from what it should be, on the time of download it says the first one's), but the .rar file that comes doesn't have an application to run. Any ideas?

Hi Marco, I have used 7-zip to unpack .RAR files before ( I think), http://www.7-zip.org/
Also there is a free program at;
http://www.unziprar.com/
There are quite a few to try in the Microsoft store too, but I have not tried any of them myself.
Once you have unpacked the driver software, go to Driver manager, right click on the line with the yellow warning (missing driver), choose the option 'update driver software', then choose the second option, 'Browse my computer for driver software', and then find your new BroadCom driver that you have downloaded.
If it's the correct version, it should work.

Hey Mike, a little bit misunderstanding there on the .rar files. I have no problem unpacking it, thanks for the advice though.
So, I had the netbook installing windows updates for the whole day (it isn't a fast netbook). It was searching for them for 2 days or so, my copy of windows 7 always had that issue of searching 'forever', even when installing that one update autonomously that is supposed to make it faster. Turned out windows update got the network adapter working for me before I had to chance to try to update it through device manager searching on the folder of the download you got me. So we can say it is a solved issue. Many for the help even so, have a nice day :)

Hi Marco, That's a good result, hope your netbook pc works as you want it to.
The drivers can be a problem with some laptops, especially the webcam driver and the touchpad driver, it's really worth saving working drivers to a separate external drive or flash drive, just in case you have to format again, sometime in the future.

I have the same problem but here is what I have under problem devices.

Lexmark X422 ROOT\IMAGE\0000 This device cannot start.

MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port (COM23) ROOT\UNKNOWN\0000 This device cannot start.

Main thing is the WiFi driver that needs to be installed after formatting the system. And the driver has to be the same exact one that your WiFi card supports. That's where most people face issues.
