  1. Every time I try to copy any files or documents to a CD-R/RW an error window appears saying "D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function" I can burn audio CDs fine but can not copy files. What up. My os is XP.

What program are you using to burn the data discs?

You need to use a program like Deepburner or Nero and create a data disc. I am assuming that you are trying to copy the files to the drive using Windows Explorer??

The files I am trying to copy to CD are Word Documents or a PDF file, even my Microsoft Publisher files won't copy to CD. It has always worked in the past, I am not sure I am using Windows Explorer.

Download Deepburner, the freee version http://www.deepburner.com/

Install it, double click the program and choose Data Disc when the project type box pops up. Drag your files into the larger empty window on the right in the program and click burn disc. That should work for you.
