Can't install CD-RW

    My PC has a DVD drive. I am trying to add a CD drive. The DVD is set to master. The CD is set to slave. The CD will not work or show up in hardware. If I unplug the DVD the CD works. What's up?

    Just to be clear, the CD is set to slave by the jumper on the back of it?

    Yes, the CD is set to slave on the back of unit. All cable connections are OK.

    hmmm i would check out the manual, if you find nothing useful i would check the warranty out as it might be a fault.

    Try setting them both the cable select.
