It seems that in XP's infinite wisdom, the ability to repair an OS install is no longer an option for me. I had a spyware Trojan do some funky stuff before I hammered it, but not before it a little damage to the OS (XP Pro SP2).
I popped in the CD and rebooted. I have the option to do the repair through the recovery console (not needed) so I hit enter to install then F8 to accept the agreement. When I usually get here, I have a nice "R" option to repair an install it detects.
But no. Nothing. I can delete the partition, or install over it. WTF!
What happend to my ability to repair my install? WTH is going on? Anyone?
