Can't see DVD driver in my computers

  1. Guys, please help me! I can't seem to find my the DVD driver in My Computers. It doesn't appear! Ever since the PC got fixed, it won't detect the DVD driver. I put A cd in, nothing appears. Please Help! Thanks in Advance! :)

    did this 'fix' involve getting inside the computer case? if its a SATA type DVD driver make sure that the connector at either end is not been bumped loose. the older style sata data cables without the connection clip are notorious for coming loose a bit and loosing their connection.

    Thanks for the reply and yes, this fix did involve in getting inside the computer case. But the weird part is, I can still open the DVD driver but it just won't show in My Computer.
