cant use favorites disabled somehow

    my second pc is running is running win98se it gets used by everybody and somehow the favorites have been disabled it is no longer on the menu bar and the favorites button on the tool bar is faded when i right click on the page to add a favorite it tells me some message about asking my administor about it. i asked myself and i didnt know.


    anyone know how to fix this?? thanks

    is this PC networked with another computer that is running win2K or win XP?

    its connected to a firewall/router box running ipcop there are 2 other computers on the network running win2k but they arent sharing files or anything.

    Open Regedit, and check
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Restrictions \ NoFavorites
    Should be 0.
