CD Drive Problems

    ok well i put a cd into the cd drive but it wont read it and nothing happens. It doesnt even load or anything. I go to my computer and it says theres nothing in the Cd drive even though there is.
    so can someone help me out here or something

    could be a windows file system problem. try uninstalling the IDE channel the drive is on and rebooting. you will find the IDE channels in device manager under IDE ATA|ATAPI Contollers.

    It depends on your set up. is the cd rom set on master or slave? ( primary or secondary) look under the advanced tab your CD rom should show it is operating at DMA2 if it says DMA4 or DMA 5 then that should be the hard drive.
