Cd drives don't read cd

I'm trying to install the paid version of AVG on a dell. Neither drive reads the cd. Both drives see other cds. The cd works fine in another computer. I've requested help from AVG but they only do email support. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try this

Download and install the free Avira Antivirus (if you presently do not have any Antivirus installed)

Update it (I usually just right click on tray icon and then select update)
Run a full scan, and remove any viruses found

Then uninstall it and try the AVG Antivirus again
Note: I mention Avira above because I find it way better than AVG and it's free :grinthumb
ie If your bought AVG Antivirus CD does not install on your computer you may be able to get your money back.
