I am using the P4V88. I went from a Celeron D 2.66 533 FSB to a P4 2.4 800fsb
NW 512 L2 800 FSB HT. I have read that when you OC the FSB on this board it boosts everything. I am wondering if I should go back to the 2.66, but I loose the 800 FSB and gain double the L2 cache. and I get a 2.2 ghz speed gain.Is my memory going to bottleneck at the 533 FSB running Dual channel?
Celeron or P4 ? any thoughts on this would be helpful,
Thanks in advance
I can't afford to upgrade my board yet, but I will I know it's old

Yes,
wait until you can upgrade your motherboard

thnx for the info. I am running a P4 2.4 800fsb. I changed from the 2.66 and remember why. The celeron has 256k L2 and the P4 is 512k
I am sticking with the P4 untill I can get a new board. I want to bump the cpu FSB without the rest going with it.
I needed a second opinion about the 533/800 difference on the ram.

correction on first post.

The Celeron D 2.66 has 256k L2 and is 533 FSB
The P4 2.4 Northwood has 512k L2 and is 800 FSB
I had my facts wrong when I posted.
I will be pulling this and going to LGA 775 PCI-E 16

Thanks for the info though
