Change program files location

By lopdog

  1. I´ve installed Vista Ultimate on a 16Gb partition, and now I want to move the entire "Program Files" folder to another partition. In XP I could copy the folder, and change all references in the registry, but a quick search in the Vista registry for anything similar to "Program files" or "Archivos de programa" (spanish version) didn´t reveal anything.
Are there any way to manually change the location, or any tool that can do this for me?

You can install all your programs into another partition but I don't know if you'll be able to copy the programs you've already installed to another partition, you'll probably have to reinstall everything unless there is some sort of program that can move it all for you.

I have used system mechanic which changes the registry and all associated files -> makes it easy to move files and folders

I think you can get a 30day trial for free made by iolo
