I just swapped a Radeon 8500 with an All in Wonder 9800 Pro. The PC won't power up. I have to unplug the power supply for a few and disconnect the power cable from the card before it will boot up. Then I get and error message saying I haven't plugged in the power cable on the card. With the card plugged in to power the PC won't fire up. Is the card bad?

That's what I was thinking. You may not have the power (amperage) to fire up your system. You could test the GPU in another computer. I really think that the 9800 is sucking too much power.

using an Antec 480w power supply

Could this be a driver issue on the motherboard? I have the 6.11 catalyst suite but it didn't help. I was thinking maybe there is a motherboard driver for the AGP side that enables certain things.
