Under options, there is a box that can be checked to have the browser use
the colors I have chosen. But it doesn't seem to work. I get a washed out
white background on my computer. Is there a way to get Firefox to use my
    colors?
    Thanks for any help offered,
    Chip

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Yes click tools then options then the general tab then fonts and colours and uncheck the box that says use system colours.

Select the colours that you wish to use and check the box that says use my colours. You will have to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

Thanks for the reply, Howard, but I've done this. The problem is that my colors aren't the ones that show up. I get a white background, and it seems that because of the white a lot of the depth of the page (html?) doesn't show up. It is hard to read the page.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox?

You're running it in KDE, right?

Update KDE+QT, update GTK, use millions of colours. Should be fixed.
