Cheapish capture card or something

Me and a friend want to do some recording and commentating on xbox games we play, for youtube. We dont need 1080p (720p is nice, 480P is fine if its CHEAP). I have no video outputs on the monitor im using, so I would need some way to split an HDMI cable (which exist as far as I know). It can be an internal or external solution (I was planning on my own desktop build, but I would rather get a cheap external one right now so I can hold off the build until holiday sales). I just want to know whats out there...I think I can afford 75 bucks for a complete solution. its not much, I just want to know if theres anything.

Though it needs a PC for it to work. There are stand alone like it, but are more than $100, but you still need a PC to output the feed to, like a laptop.

True, but the box might have been opened for demonstration purposes. For the money you save it may be worth the risk.
