"Check Signal Cable" error after transporting computer

    Yesterday my computer was working fine but since I was moving I had to bubblewrap it, put it into a suitcase and fly abroad with it. Today when I turn it on a "check signal cable" message appears on the monitor/

    Ive tried all the different cable connections possible between the computer/monitor but none of them seem to have any effect on the situation.

    The Monitor is a Samsung 223BW and the computer has a nvidia 8800 graphics card and intel quad core cpu. (sorry thats all i remember/can check)

    Any ideas what could be not working?
