  1. In my Drive C: I copied a 3+ GB folder left it as it is after a while when I restarted my comp. that folder wasn't there the size shown by the dirve is the same (ie including the 3+ GB folder) but I can't see that folder in my drive . It has a window xp installed on it. I know that the data is in Found.000 , 001 and 002 folder in .CHK files .... but how can I recover it.. to that folder again...
    please help ...It contain some crucial data...

    You're going to find out those CHK files are mostly (if not all) unsalvagable garbage.

    There are programs available which may help you though, including this random, freeware find I stumbled on: http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/chkmate.htm

    There may be better... There may be other free ones too. But this is the first one I found. Search around - Maybe you'll discover a CHK recovery program that gets what you need back.
