i was wondering if it was possible to delete EVERY single file on a computer and reinstall the OS. my computer is full of junk and i dont want to just buy a new computer id liek to keep this one but get rid of everything on it. anyone have any ideas?

Yes it's pretty simple.

Put in your Operating System CD, then reboot your computer. Go into your BIOS by pressing DEL, or F2 or whatever it tells you to 'Enter Setup'. Then make sure that your CD-rom is the first enabled boot device. Exit BIOS and follow the directions shown on your screen and all should be well. If you need more of a help than this just ask and maybe we can try to find you some graphical pictures showing it.

Also what OS are you trying to re-install?

If you boot to a winxp/2k cd, then you'll be given the option to format your hard drive during setup.

Its probably for the best if you have a good look there to see if there is anything you should back up first, yeah, just in case.
