Clicking sound

  1. Hey good people, what does it mean when u hear a clicking sound on a regular basis on a desktop computer. Let me explain futher. If any of u know how the click sound of a page reloading on something like yahoo sports ticker or something of a sort. That's the click i hear constantly after i boot up my computer. Could it be something is running a refresh without my knowing? and if so, where would i look to check. I have an e machines desktop running windows xp

    When you turn your sound down do you still hear it? If no then it might be an interference problem. Do you use a sound card or on board? Try moving the sound as far away from the video card slot as possible (assuming you're not using on brd video).

    I'm not sure if it's a sound card or not, but thanks for the reply, i'll try that when i get home.

    You look for a clock in there with candles near it?
