I miss the old coca cola tv spots (... can't beat it....) but I like the taste of pepsi better :D
plus I don't like the new 'zero' crap. btw is it just a european product or is coke zero available all over?

Of course we do....Fanta, Fanta, Do you wanna Fanta?

I think we have 4 flavors, Grape, Orange, Lemon-lime, and something else.....

If they take all the caffeine and refined sugar out of Coke, all you've got left is carbonated water and food coloring. Ur, Zero..! Concur, do I. Face it, without the stimulant and the poison, you might as well drink water.

As to the TV advertising, didn't Michael Jackson's head almost get blown off making a Pepsi commercial? I don't drink it, but God bless the Pepsi Corporation anyway! (LOL)

thats interesting because I was told fanta is an EU product and in America its all about 7up and other sugar waters...
we have like 5 or 6 tastes for fanta but in only like the orange taste...

captaincranky, you're right and I do drink water most of the time and sometimes as tea :)
a pepsi is something I drink once in a while but coke is not what it was 10 years ago... its a different taste and I don't like it. worst thing is coke zero because the taste is even worse than diet coke (which in Germany is "coke light" - same for pepsi and others...) :D

Turns out there are more than 4 flavors available in the US. They are just not all available in all parts of the US.

United States
Most Fanta flavours are only available in certain regions of the country, except for Orange, now available nationwide. For many years, Fanta could only be found in some areas as a fountain drink (often Fanta Root Beer and Fanta Ginger Ale or Fanta Orange). Fanta Pineapple, Strawberry, and Grape are available in many regions.

Orange (nationwide)
Apple
Berry (retired)
Birch Beer
Boo Berry
Cherry
Citrus (formally Citra; regional flavour)
Frozen Banana
Frozen Blueberry
Frozen Cherry
Fruit Punch (available in Hawaii)
Ginger Ale (available only in fountain)
Grape
Lemon (retired)
Orange Cream
Peach (available in the southeastern U.S.)
Pineapple
Pink Grapefruit (retired)
Red Creme Soda (retired in 1990s)
Red Tangerine
Root Beer (now replaced by Barq's)
Strawberry
Zero Orange (a diet version. Available in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Iowa and Texas)

I have a cousin that works for Coke in Atlanta, so I voted for Coke, but I really don't have a brand peference. I brought Pepsi to his house one time, and he told me I had to get that *%i& out of there.

Red Bull and COKE go great with most of the liquor I drink.

Montser is pretty good also, the Green one

I grew up in the American South (it's okay, I'm not racist) and my grandfather helped invent the first Minute Maid vending machines so drinking Pepsi was pretty much a sin in my grandmother's house. I've always found Pepsi to be way too sweet and watery tasting.

If I was going to have coke with lemon, make is a regular coke with a slice of REAL lemon- thats the best. But in general I don't drink either very much anymore, new studies are coming out saying that soda is actually bad for your mitochondria. And anyone whose played Parasite Eve knows you just don't mess around with mitochondria.

coke yes. pepsi no. Pepsi is sickenly sweet. I hate it when you go to a restaurant, ask for a coke and the waiter brings a pepsi. This one ***** waiter once told me (and had the nerve to argue with me- a customer) that "It's the same thing." I gave him a "tip" - don't argue with customers, and always ask the customer before you change their order.

none ;)
but i love mix from Basque country, have good friend who always drink this - coca-cola mixed with red wine... quite refreshing!!

im surprised no one has brought up the 'new coke' disaster/long con publicity stunt' ....brilliant!

oh yeah....Coke

@ red1776 That's because most of the members were not born until many years after the "New Coke" fiasco. That's how damn old common "Coke", became "Coke Classic"!

Even "Coke Classic" isn'i "real Coke". Back in the day, both colas were sweetened with "sucrose", or cane sugar. Now, there's a lot more "fructose" or fruit sugar in them. Both sugars have the same chemical formula, but taste a fair amount different.
Way back when, if I drank something like grape soda on a very hot day, it would give me stomach cramps, while Coke never did. With the modern formulation, you guessed it, Coke gives me cramps in that circumstance. I though I heard recently, ("out of the corner of my ear"), that Pepsi was offering a nostalgia, limited time formula, based in cane sugar.
