Comp freezes when media loads

After my computer (AMD Athlon 1.15GHz, 1.25 GB Ram) sits for maybe 15 minutes, it has trouble with loading media...CD's, youtube videos, etc. Whenever i try to use youtube, my computer freezes as soon as the page loads. i can move the cursor around for maybe 10 seconds before it's frozen.

:dead:

After I restart my computer, I can watch or listen without any problems.

I'm using a wireless internet connection at my college. it goes through a secure access point.

i'm virus/spamware/adware free.

might it have something to do with the fact that i have 2 different brands of memory? should i remove the 256 chip?

this problem occurrs with both firefox and IE. I have 150 MB cache space.

thanks,
jason

Change the PAGE FILE under XP Pro are you using that OS?
Make sure it set to:

1536 on top
3072 on bottom

Change the IE browser cache to 80MB are you using IE?

Have you OC that CPU? Are you using enough FANs inside the case to keep it cool. Can your board except 1.25GB? Try 1GB see how it goes? If okay then try to move it up.

Try this program on your PC to help set-it-up correctly:
