I got back from class and my computer was frozen. I reboted it and windows performed an automatic repair. I was then able to login, however when I tried to run AVG to see if I received a virus or something I got an error message.

    avggui.exe - bad image

C:\Windows\system32\fltlib.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system admin or the software vendor for support.

almost everything I try to run comes up with a similar error message

    any suggestions pls

    fltlib.dll is an Ad-aware driver.

avggui.exe is an AVG GUI interface executible (driver).

Either the software itself has become corrupt or there is the possibility you have become infected.

FYI Adaware at one time was a well respected software but it is far from being much help in today's security needs.

    * Can you boot into Safe Mode?

I entered safe mode fine. I ran avg in safe mode and found nothing. i also opened up the google chrome browser fine, but as soon as I ran windows normally again, the error messages popped up again whenever I tried to run a program besides internet explorer.
