I have a reconditioned Gateway, has been running great for a year. It started having trouble starting for a few day, now it won't start at all.
The fans (cpu and power supply) get power and and start at high speed and stay there, but the LED on light doesn't light anymore. The computer doesn't beep at all. And there is nothing on the screen.
I thought the power supply was bad so I replaced it. No change.
I've checked the hard disk in another computer ... it works fine.
I've unplugged everything and reconnected everything. No signs of any burned componets. Two other computers in the same room are working fine ... so I don't think it was an electrical surge that burnt something.
What should I check/try next?
