Computer is choppy in games (lagging 2-4 times every sec)

Hello guys! I'm in need of help!

My computer have been acting weird in games for some time now.

Whenever i start a game(No difference in heavy games or light games), it runs perfectly fine for 5-10 min - Then the horribly annoying lags start..

It's like it freezes for a millisecond, and it does it 2-4 times a second...

I'm no computer wiz or good explainer. So i'll use pictures instead!

I know it's from Minecraft, but bear with me...

Notice the redish graph - This shows the freeze/lag spikes when i'm in game - The graph takes 15 second from start to end.. The frequency of the lag is the same in all games..

This is when i'm in the menu... This is how i believe it normally should be...

Now as i said, i'm no computer wiz, but after i've read countless problems somehow related to mine, i know i need to give you more infomation. So here we
go! Asks if you need something else!

And i hope you can reply in a way that the most retarded (Me) of people can understand! :D

Hi. I'm not sure, but perhaps a run down of your system specs would be helpful? I mean the hardware stuff: CPU, board, graphics card.

Does your rig "act weird" when you use other applications? Also, have you checked your CPU and GPU temps?

EDIT: Oops, sorry, I see you've got a Radeon 5700 and a dual core.

you gave the longest set of info i've ever seen . Well i just dont get what you are saying about your problem please give the links or if you do not have 5 posts please make em anyways.

just a guess - maybe you have recently changed your OS and these games have data files from your previous OS . if this is so then compatibility settings might help.

reply.:D

My first suspect is Gamebooster. Sounds great on paper, but I've had a few friends who ended up with issues and removed it. Ironically, removing Gamebooster made their games run more smoothly - funny, huh?

Also, just out of curiosity... Are the games with this choppy behavior completely local games, or networked? I've seen network issues (like corrupted Hamachi setups) cause weird hiccups as well.
