Computer keeps restarting when I use a game

hi there, im new to all of this but you guys sound great and i just wanna no if anyone can tell me whats wrong with my computer. i 've recently just purchased 2 gig of ram and ever since then this started to happen.the ram i bought is for my computer but why is it doing this ?and sometimes it says that internet explorer has to shut down but always when i play a game it restarts.thanku so much

try taking 1 of the sticks of ram out see if u have the same problem

Provide your system specifications and you would be in a better position to get good feedback. Sometimes there is a maximum limit to the RAM required, depending on the OS running, processor, drivers and such issues.
