My desktop computer suddenly stop reading the DVD drive. It doesn't read any disc, there is no icon for the dvd drive in my computer and when I go to the device manager it says "windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The drive may be corrupted or missin."
    Does anyone have any ideas?

With the PC turned off and unplugged, just in case check both ends of the data cable and check the power cable as well to make sure they are securely connected. Disconnect them and plug them back in. Turn the PC back on.

If that doesn't do anything, it probably means the drive has failed. It happens. Replacing it should solve the problem in my opinion.

Reinstall the drivers for your drive. If Windows if telling you the drivers won't load, removing the old drivers and installing more up-to-date/a fresh version is generally a good idea.

Just go to Device Manager > (your drive) > Uninstall, then download the drivers for your drive model and reinstall them.
