Computer on start in safe mode Windows XP Professional

My computer freezes in normal mode,it'll load all settings and icons but that's it,it freezes.I've went into safe mode and disabled video codec and it allowed me to enter normal mode once,then froze.Now its getting stuck on the blue screen where the it loads all settings.Are there any suggestions out there:wave:? Thanx for any responses.

Oh yeah,I left the computer on and went to my sister's for about four days. When I returned home my computer was off,and that's when I found the problem.However,I didn't see a system error message or anything.

In order for a variety of people to help, you should post the brand and model of your computer; the OS, the age of the computer and of the hard drive, how you are connected, your antivirus program, your two or three spyware programs, and what efforts you have completed to date.
Also any history of past problems.
