Hi

My pc keaps rebooting during normal use. When i'm playing games or when i'm encoding video. Sometimes it hangs when I boot up, the mouse freezes and I have to manually reboot. I've reinstalled xp etc a few times but the problem is still there. I disabled my SATA HD and booted up with a normal 40 gig IDE drive with no problems seen as yet. Can a SATA HD cause this type of problem?

Any feedback will be appreciated.

check the " write an event to the system log" and uncheck the " automatic restart" check box
Go to Control Panel>Perfor..&Mainten..> System>Advanced Tab > Start up & Recovery
This will allow your system to write a error message or a file name if you get a BSOD.
Write down any file names or drivers that are mentioned adn then Post back.
