Hi

I have a p5ke-wifi motherboard and a thermaltake 600watt power supply

what has happened:

I installed a 2nd 1tb harddrive into my computer plugged the fan back in. i put the harddrive case back into the computer, tryed turning it on and nothing, i noticed that i jammed the (red) fan wire which exposed the wire. i pulled out the harddrive case tapped up the wire and it turned on. i switched off the computer and put the harddrive case back in without jamming the fan wire again, went to turn it on and nothing. any ideas? there is still a green light showing on my motherboard. have i surged my power supply?

Borrow a power supply to test. It easily could be the power supply was ruined. Otherwise, you have to suspect the board.
Wrap or coat that uncovered spot on the wire, but that will not fix it at this point.

thanks for the replys. i ended up pulling the power supply out and checking everything was connected and re connecting it all back up, and she has started. yippie!

thanks again
