Computer wont power up

Turned of my computer last night went to turn it on this morning and nothing happens.

The first simple checks:

Does anything work when plugged into that wall outlet?

If you open the side of the case (usually left hand side looking at the comp) is there a green light on the mobo (many times at the bottom of the case area).

Any fans start at all?

Have you made any hardware/software changes recently and do you run a GOOD AV?

I have a compaq presario sr 1334nx i did the trouble shooting steps from the website and found that i get the error message which is the green flashing light on the power supply when i plug it into the mobo with the atx cable so now is that going to be the cable or the mobo how can i find out. I know now it has to do with the atx cable or connector on the mobo

Try to use a different/working power supply. If your comp. does not work then we can assume something is wrong with the mobo.
