    Hiya,

We are having new wardrobes put in the room where our PC computer usually sits and have had to dismantle it for the time being. I would like to still be able to print using my laptop but we have an HP Deskjet 3845 printer and, of course, its programme disk does not support Vista.

Is there any site where I can download a driver and programme for this printer to work with Vista, or is this not possible?

Install a wireless printserver on the printer and connect to it wirelessly to the laptop

I have tried that but I am pretty sure you still need the printer drivers installed.

Connecting a printer to a laptop running on Vista

    Hiya,

Thanks for all your suggestions. However, I found a site on the Internet which said that, if your printer has a USB connection, plug in the USB connection into your laptop, switch on the printer and Vista will detect the printer and download the appropriate driver, which I did and it worked. I have printed out an email and it has printed it OK.
