I have an old P4 system 3.0GHz. Asus mobo P4C800-E
1 GB of RAM
O.S. is Windows XP Home.
I am having constant crashes where everything locks up for the past month or so.
Before the crash I notice that everything acts very slowly.
I have a visual scale the shows the percentage of CPU usage and RAM usage.
When the computer crashes the RAM shows at 99% usage.
I am wondering if I have a bad stick of RAM.
The computer was in a fire a year ago but I have been using it all this time with minimal problems, this locking up/crash has just recently been happening.
I know the system is a little on the antique side, I built it several years ago.
Could you tell me if there is a program that I can check my RAM with or does this sound to you like the RAM is no good ? Everything will be fine and then out of the blue CRASH !!!
Any information will be appreciated.
