Counter Strike: Source crashes

I recently downloaded Counter Strike:Source of Steam and my computer fits all the requirements and I have a very good internet connection but when I play the game crashes and I can't see the guns or other people the guns are purple.

Please help me! Whats going on?

It wouldn't hurt to post your computer specifications all the same. It might be a graphics driver problem. What is the status of your graphics driver?

Right Click Counter-Strike: Source on Steam and choose properties. Go to the Local Files tab and then select "verify game cache integrity"
