Cpu frequency

    my celeron dual core fluctuates between 1.6 ghz and 1.2 ghz, depending on load. is this supposed to happen? sometimes it goes back and forth many times per minute. thanks

    When the processor has different loads on it, depending on how intensive the load is, it will fluctuate the rate or frequency depending so.
