Cpu taking much time to turn on

  1. My cpu taking much time to turn on, when I switch on the power,it takng nearly 30-40 seconds to turn on cpu led lights and whole cpu itself!
    can anyone help me in ths regards.

    Dear tmagic it is-
    Asus P5kPL-AM IN series motherboard,2gb ddr2 ram, 250gb seagate hdd, intel dual core 3.0 processor, nd atx p4 psu!
    Bt Now when I open case of cpu nd power on cpu, led light on motherboard is turning on quickly as I power on, bt cpu not running, except that led light nothing running in cpu, what could be the prblm? plz help me!

    Try replacing the power supply

    Well, if you replace the power supply and it fixes the slow start up, a bad power supply would be why this is happening...

    What size is the computers case? Full Tower, Mid Tower... etc?

    It is of normal size like other home computers!

    As I new to interior parts of cpu,I lack of this knowledge! there is any other way to know whether it is full tower or mid tower? Or can you get, if I tell model of my current smps?

    Just open the case and look at the installed power supply label
