Hi,
I have recently noticed when I downloaded cpu-z, that on my cpu the multiplier was changing from x6 to x10 ramdonly, I'm dont think this should happen and leaves me with some concerns over the gaming abilitly.

I gratful if anyone could help me resolve my worries.

Dont worry I think I have just worked it out, when under load the cpu is using the x10. but it has uncovered a slite problem, when playing crysis warhead the gpu temp goes upto 90, thats hot and it appears its only on crysis warhead.

When the CPU isn't doing a lot of work, or when it's overheating, it will lower its speed to either save power or reduce the temperature. This is what is causing the change in multiplier. When you are playing a game, it will stay at 10x all the time unless it begins to overheat.

You have nothing to worry about - this is absolutely normal. Cool and quiet technology will step down the cpu in order to cool it.
