    I have no audio in an XP dual boot and someone told me I will need to reinstall the drivers. The speakers are Creative Inspire 2.1 2500. Can someone please tell me where to find the driver for this and would this fix the problem? Thanks.

    I downloaded and installed the driver and it now lists the information for it in 'Sounds and Devices' but it still does not play any sound. There is no speaker icon on the tray either. Does this mean it is a problem with something else? Thanks again.

    Not to worry, the sound is working now. It still doesn't show the speaker icon but I guess that is not a big deal. Thank you so much for your help.

    Confirm your default Audio device is correct
    Start-> Run -> rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL mmsys.cpl,,2

    Just copy and paste that into a run command ;)

    Also confirm it is not Muted, and taskbar icon is enabled
    Start-> Run-> mmsys.cpl

    Edit:

    Oh you replied again!
