    Hi,

Your problem may be related to faulty video card. Attach the minidumps here if you want me to confirm. You can find the mindiumps at the folder of \windows\minidumps.

Refer the following case which is confirmed relating to faulty VID
    http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?p=174162#post174162

It is very frustrated as most of the problem owners do not feedback the result.
There have 7 similar cases which are still opened. You can send private message to the problem owner to feedback the result. I hope you share your experience with us after your problem is fixed.

My windows\minidump folder is empty. Would they be located anywhere else?

    Hi,

The system event 1001/1003 is very useful to diagnostic your problen.

Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System -> Event 1001/1003. Copy the content and paste it back here

Do you send the private message to problem owners which have the bugcheck 9C problem?

Havent pm'd those guys yet. I will now. I didnt get a 1003 event. When it locks up like this, if i just hit the reset button, the bootup sequence gets looped at something where its lookin for a DHCP somethingorother. And it has a little progress thing aside it that forever spins. I have to power down and do a fresh boot to resolve it.

    Hi,

I've got a reply from another forum with bugcheck 9C and the culprit is the motherboard ASUS A8N-SLI. What mother board are you using?
