Game developer Crytek has revealed details concerning their first mobile game known as ‘Fibble –Flick ‘n’ Roll’ scheduled to hit Android and iOS devices this spring. Fibble is being billed as a physics-based action puzzle game, a far cry (no pun intended) from the first-person shooters that we have come to expect from the German-based studio.

The game follows an extraterrestrial explorer named Fibble who crash lands in a suburban home on Earth. The protagonist becomes separated from his crewmates and must reunite with each member in order to return safely to their home planet. To do so, Fibble must thoroughly search every room in the house to locate each comrade, but he can’t go at it alone. Fibble will need to enlist the help of multiple characters throughout his journey, each possessing a particular skill to see him on his way.

Fibble is being developed using Crytek’s famed CryEngine 3 and will utilize the company’s cloud-based social gaming network called Gface. The social network will likely be responsible for maintaining objectives, scoreboards and achievements to encourage competition between players worldwide.

Crytek seems to be embracing the idea of going mobile. Nick Button-Brown, general manager of games at Crytek noted that his team loves to play games on mobile devices and they very much look forward to bringing their production values and skills to the emerging platform.

"Going mobile is an incredibly exciting step for us as a game development company," said president and CEO Cevat Yerli. "This allows us to get back to our roots, experiment and focus our energy on creating great gameplay experiences while still keeping Crytek's high production values."

Crytek, although I do not have a PS Vita yet (Waiting for price drop) a CryEngine3 enabled FPS would be nice.

Back on topic it would be nice if this game could be ported to WP7, my nice Nokia lumia 800 needs a decent game.

If you have the money buy an iphone
If you don't buy an android phone
If you have your lips pressed against balmer's sweaty butt, buy a wp7

"Wait, crytek's high production values? Did he even play Crysis 2? "

Do you know than they hired a writer for the story and one hollywood composers for the music?, I dont remember the names, but even without that, are people insane?, crysis 2 with not high production values???
