    I just got this 'new' GFX card tonight, Installed, and when I got on, I was impressed to see my FPS showing in my cl_fpsshow 1 as a womping 500-600 FPS; This is quite a change from my normal 100 FPS, however, when I connect to any server, my FPS drops down to and does not rise above 30 FPS.. depressing.. help?

    What kind of internet connection do u have? A slow connection can cause such problems.

    Cable, from Cox.

    I've had the same connection so I couldn't see why that would it would change dramatically since yesterday, when all I changed was the card.

    put this command in
    max_fps 300
    try that

    There is a command for max fps on CS?

    Well anyways it's mostly a internet problem like Rage said..

    I tried FPS_max 300, no difference.

    Also, like I said it couldnt be a connection issue as my other card works just fine with the same connection.
