Cursor jumping since I had Windows 7 installed

Hi

Wondered if anyone can help? I've noticed since my System Admin upgraded me to Windows 7, the cursor sometimes moves when I'm typing in Word, and elsewhere.

Very annoying if you don't look up.

Definitely NOT the touchpad being accidentally touched, have had that proved this morning. (And never used to happen before Windows 7)

Any ideas / fixes?

Thanks

Even though you aren't using the Touchpad, they are a pain. You may need new W7 touchpad drivers for whatever brand of Notebook you have?

I would suggest this:

Call your System Admin, tell him there's something wrong with your pointer and have him fix it.

But yeah, the first thing I would personally check is the touchpad drivers. Alot of people don't even install them after a clean OS install, just because it works and there's no exclamation mark in the device manager. Jump on the manufacturer's website, find the page with the drivers for your model, and download then install the appropriate touchpad drivers.
