Custom resolutions in games?

    Anyone know of a program that lets you play games in custom resolutions? I want to play Alice in 1280 x 960 but they only have 1280 x 1024 and i really hate having everything look squished.


    Edit: Whats the point of the 1280 x 1024 resolution anyway? Its so common yet it doesn't really fit with most of the others because its 5:4 instead of 4:3. Are LCD or laptop monitors in a 5:4 aspect ratio or something because i don't think i've ever seen a CRT that is.
