Customer has his Tesla order canceled by Elon Musk because he posted a 'rude' open letter

"The Customer Is Always Right". The American industrial complex was built on this moto and any businessman worth his salt knows that you cannot satisfy everyone, every time, yet you must endeavor to take such critical comments in stride and continue to try to improve. Obviously there are people that are more critical than others, but if the man got his facts right, Mr. Musk owes him an apology. One thing is evident; if Mr. Musk is the face of electric cars in this country, they simply will not last because the American consumer will not tolerate or support such conduct in the market place.

"Mr. Musk owes him an apology."

No he doesn't. The complainer is a venture capitalist so it is obvious he has money to burn. Musk obviously realised that if a person can complain about an event in such a manner what would be do once he actually gets his hands on the car. By his own confession - about BMW - he is a moaner !

Both statements can be true. It's not "if / then" logic in play here.

Musk could still owe the guy, (and others present at this event), an apology, but be much better off by not selling him a car.
This guy could be a shill for another automaker....None of us here can fully carry on an informed discussion, as there is too much backstory unknown to us.

This guy could think Musk is as big or a bigger a**hole than I do. But, I just kick back and comment on it in this forum, erstwhile wondering in amazement what kind of hold he has over his disciples. That's far from as proactive an approach would be like starting a website to the sole purpose of badmouthing him.

This is the opinion-editorial section of the forums though, and we can still have a lot of fun voicing ours..
