Cyberpunk 2077 review round-up: A beautifully-crafted sci-fi experience marred by technical...

Man, so much negativity. Are none of you RPG fans? Or has 2020 just left everyone bitter :p

Anyways, should be fun, even if such an expansive game has a few bugs. Sounds like you can get different endings based on some of the side stuff you do, which means even more replayability...

I can wait a year for the next round of holiday sales and by then all the bugs should be worked out.
unfortunately that is the norm now for PC games. There is absolutely no incentive to actually buy a game on release...a few months after release the bugs are all sorted and the optimizations delivered. It's like you're a beta tester to buy a PC game on release. :(

And as a PC gamer, I will forever be grateful for all of the willing (and paying) beta testers lining up with preorders. I think it’s foolish of them, but I love them all the same!

Is "Cyberpunk 2077" an actual game, or a "game development exercise" masquerading as one? SMH.

Unfortunately, because of these foolish pre-ordering people, companies keep churning out unfinished games and later release the unfinished parts disguised as patches.

Those days, companies used to release demos. Something people can TRY and see if the games are worth the people's money.

Nowadays, it is shocking to see people lining up for pre-orders. Not only they can't try the demo, but pay full price for something not even released or complete.

I'm not seeing anything like a pre-order bonus to have to purchase on day one. Like others I think I'll wait until I build a newer PC around a newer RTX GPU likely a year from now when the game itself goes on sale and the hardware to run the game optimized becomes more available. Game looks great though.
There were a few offered, 'deluxe' versions that came with art books and merch, but those sold out months ago. I don't think there was ever any digital content offered for pre-order of the 'standard' version - that isn't CDPR's style - but there might have been a slight discount (I don't remember for sure)

I don't think people are being overly negative and I love Theinsanegamer post. He clearly not drinking the Kool-Aid and is giving an objective opinion. There are far too many people that have been hyping this for years and are unable to have an objective view of the game since they want it to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I'm going to hold off on the game myself until sometime next spring and will look at it again after its been patched more.

Right on, I do remember something like that. I'm sure they'll fix the bugs with the game. It doesn't keep me from buying, it just delays when I'll buy it.
