DDR2 graphics card on ddr motherboard will it work?

  1. hi, im looking to buy a new grpahics card for my comp. i was wondering will a nvidia ddr2 graphics card work on a motherboard that only hold ddr1 ram

    Yep. Graphics RAM has absolutely nothing to do with System RAM.

    Well, I have a question.....

    Many graphics cards use some of the system RAM. Some cards that have 128MB of onboard RAM (and more) can use up to 512MB total. Would this make a difference if the Video card was expecting DDR2 ?
