    There are some P35 mobos out that use DDR3

    The boards aren't so bad but the memory costs too much

    Anandtech compared DDR2 and DDR3 on the P35 chipset;
    Right now DDR3 is not worth the money. With buss speeds going up faster memory will be required and DDR3 prices will come down. In a year or two DDR3 will be mainstream. Right now it's just not worth it.
