Delete log files?

Hi all. I noticed the Setup Log files in my Windows are huge (~1,5 gigabytes).
How to delete these log files permanently? Any tips, please?

Windows Disk Cleanup doesn't help me at all - it can not clean all log files.

First, you have to ask yourself: Is it OKAY to delete Windows Setup log files?

In 75% of cases, you don't need them unless some installed program is misbehaving and you want to debug it/fix it/log support calls with the vendor.

In the remaining 25% of cases, the setup log files are most often used to uninstall the application.

Deleting log files will definitely clear up hard disk space (these 1,5 GB are an enormous waste of hard disk space, man!).

You can use Windows Disk Cleanup to delete them but I recommend Mil Shield here because Windows Registry contains these setup log values and this program will clean them all automatically and fully from your PC.

It's OK.Where to find this MilShield?
Windows Disk Cleanup...doesn't work well...

By log files I understand Windows update uninstall files, those that start and end in $. As said, if your Windows is working properly, you don't need to, indeed you shouldn't uninstall the updates, and can therefore safely delete the said files.

Among several tools, the familiar CCleaner will also do the job if you select the option.
