Deleting files from flash drive

  1. A new flash drive. Transferring mp3's to drive. Successfully made several folders of various artists music. On checking back, some of the new folders contained copies of previously loaded folders instead of the mp3's I thought I had loaded into them. Now they will not delete from the flash drive- I get the Big Red Cross - uh huh - I cannot get rid of them. Any help gratefuly received from a pretty much novice user.

    You could try restarting your computer and deleting them. If that doesn't work try using a different computer to delete them. The files you are trying to delete may be in use.

    Look up the procedures for reformatting the USB drive for your brand and model on their web site.

    Right Click >Format.
