It will not work. I suppose all Dx20 laptops don't have 24 eeprom chip.
I've checked my ST at Dell. Now I'm waiting for Rustam and i'll try to transfer ownership without previous owner info.

Does anybody have sample dumps from SMSC controllers ?

Sb started analyzing bios code?

Regards,
emde

Thanks

Sorry my friend I don't know about the Dx20 the only one I've worked on is the D800. I took me a while to find the chip. Someone on the forum corroborated my suspicion that the chip was under the HD caddy. But the funny thing is that for this particular model the location of 6 and 3 was different. Instead of being 1234 and 5678 it was 2468 and 1357. I hope you can unlock it, don’t give up just keep trying and be patient.

Sorry, tomodachi, but I looked at the datasheet for the 24C04N chip and the pin numbering is the same as for all the other 24 series

There is a good possibility that the 2650 is one of the Dell laptops that will clear by disconnecting/unsoldering/removing the CMOS battery and leaving it unpowered overnight(no main battery installed or AC Adapter plugged in. I had a sister model 2600 board that a friend sent to me because he could not find the EEProm Chip on it either. I had removed the board from the plastics and unsoldered the CMOS Battery to reset the BIOS Defaults and the boot order to default settings, then look for the EEProm chip on the following day. To my pleased surprise, the password was gone on the following day without doing any thing else, so I resoldered the CMOS Battery and reassembled it. It was OK so I returned it to him.

Hi Paragon33, you're right the 2650 models can be reseted by removing/unsoldering the CMOS battery I confirmed that today. now the problem is that the HD has a password and I dont know how to unlocked I was wondering if some one on this forum can generate the password for a S/N CLP225F2 the message is "Enter Primary Master HDD Password [ ] [S/N:CLP225F21]

the manufacturer is: IBM/travelstar Model:IC25N020ATCS05-0 (all 0 are ceros)

I will Appreciate Any help.

Thank you

That HARDDRIVE is a 6 year old 20gb which is small by today's standards, and which could go belly up at any time. I would spend a few dollars and buy this 40gb to replace it, or if you want BIG a 120gb should work on that model with Latest BIOS version.

This gent seems to be reliable, if a bit costly and he does have a generator for the Dell Dx20 and comensurate Inspirons. Write to him. Not all the folks who sell on Ebay are cheaters; I sell an occasional Laptop on ebay under another nickname and the buyers have all been satisfied with what they purchased from me.

Can anyone help me with a hard drive password removal?

#C14Y3GS1R1E-595B

Thanks in advance.

Also, Paragon is right. I know the person is reliable as I bought the service to get my BIOS password removed off him. It took longer than the 24 hour time line that he promised; but it worked.

Unfortunately now I'm stuck with a hard drive password too.

HDD Password

Maybe. Try these folks. I have used them a few times , but they can't unlock Hitachis and the old IBMs

yes, there is many ways to fix the password issue, so why some person so risky to visit site like ihatedell.info and pay money to someone called razik who already exposed by 3-4 men here with cheating.
PS: Just checked - this site already closed, very possibly it concern with raziks cheating.

The site "ihatedell" was closed as a result of Dell threatening to take legal action over the availability of the DST software for download and no other reason. Folks with the Dx20/Dx30 and comensurate Inspirons probably turned to razik, since you have not been answering queries for those models very often, and the site was of no help with the rest of the files. I too deplore razik's actions but have no control over what he is doing.

Hi there Rustam.. I been in here for months awaiting your ability to help me unlock my dell latitude D520 i had bought off ebay. Judging what people have said about razik has made me not trust him, only ones i would trust for some awsome help would be Paragon and yourself Rustam. So if you have the time can you please let me know if my Laptop bios can be unlocked... Thanks so much...
