Dell Dimension E510 removing recovery partition

I am working on a Dell Dimension E510 for one of my friends. In a nutshell I want to remove the recovery partition because the HD label says it's 160 G and the c: says it's 120 G and he has a clean XP OS to install. I tried all kinds of partitioning software and nothing shows the partition. Can anybody give me some direction?

Does anyone know of a software that will delete a drive completely no matter what is on it? I tried "Active Kill disk" but that didn't work.

Thank you!

Download Gparted, and burn the ISO to a disc. That will remove any partition if its there, but be warned, you might need to rebuild the MBR once its been removed.

Don't know if you have tried this one;
http://www.partitionwizard.com/
(The home edition freeware version)
It shows up the recovery partition on my Dell 5150, and when highlighted, it shows the option to delete it...... not tried it myself yet, but it might work for you.
